    Services

Tell us the symptom. We'll trace it to the cause.

Six ways we get heat-treatment furnaces holding temperature, uniformity and cost again, engineered to your process.

    Services

Six services across the life of a furnace.

    Furnace health assessment

Parts coming out uneven, cycles getting longer, energy creeping up: we measure atmosphere influence, heat loss, temperature uniformity and the control philosophy, then tell you what's causing it and what we'd change.

    • Atmosphere influence
    • Heat loss
    • Temperature uniformity
    • Control philosophy

    Retrofit, revamp & renovation

Most furnaces are worth saving. We rebuild them in place: refractory and insulation relining, instrumentation, atmosphere panels, cooling systems, conveyor changes, controls and full overhauls, engineered as one system rather than a list of patches.

    • Refractory & insulation relining
    • Instrumentation & controls
    • Atmosphere & cooling systems
    • Conveyor changes & overhauls
Temperature Uniformity Survey logger during validation, channels reading between 939 and 957 °C

    TUS & thermal mapping

A Temperature Uniformity Survey shows how evenly the furnace heats across the load, referenced to standards such as AMS 2750. You get documented results you can put in front of an auditor, and a clear picture of where the furnace drifts.

    • Uniformity surveys
    • Thermal mapping across the load
    • Referenced to AMS 2750
    • Documented for audits
Redesigned heating elements installed in the hood, with their connections

    Electrification

We convert gas- and oil-fired furnaces to electric resistance heating: sized from a heat balance, with elements, insulation and thyristor control engineered for your temperature and atmosphere.

    • Feasibility & heat balance
    • Element & insulation design
    • Thyristor & PLC control
    • Commissioning & survey

    Preventive, routine & emergency maintenance

Scheduled inspections catch element, refractory, atmosphere and control wear before it stops production. When something does fail, we diagnose it on site and get the furnace running again.

    • Preventive programmes
    • Routine servicing
    • Emergency breakdown response
    • Element resistance trending

    Elements, components & spares

We specify and supply the parts a solution needs: heating elements, radiant tubes, fan impellers, thyristor controllers, seals, muffles, retorts, refractory and instruments, chosen for your temperature and atmosphere rather than off a shelf.

    • Heating elements & radiant tubes
    • Fans, motors & conveyor parts
    • Muffles, retorts & seals
    • Controllers & instruments
    Elements & spares we supply

    Health assessment

Four things we measure before we recommend anything.

Most furnace problems show up in one place and start in another. These are where we look.

How the gas mix affects surface and case
    Atmosphere
Through lining, doors, seals and fixtures
    Heat loss
    Temperature across the whole load
    Uniformity
    The logic behind every setpoint
    Controls

A furnace that runs long cycles, rejects parts or eats energy rarely has one cause. Measuring all four together separates the symptom from the fault, so the fix is the right one the first time.

You get what we found and what we'd change, in plain terms, before you commit to any work.

The furnace pit glowing at operating temperature after the retrofitRetrofit

    Pit furnace

Retrofitting a pit furnace using a Fibrothal based heating system

An automotive components manufacturer's pit furnace re-lined with a Fibrothal heating system and ROB elements designed for line voltage, so the power transformer and its losses could go.

    Sealed quench furnace

Bringing a sealed quench furnace back into production

A bearing manufacturer's sealed quench furnace was not in working condition. We rebuilt it across eight workstreams and handed it back to production in January 2026.

    Sealed quench furnace

Converting a gas-fired sealed quench furnace to electric heating

A gear manufacturer's gas-fired sealed quench furnace converted to electric heating, with elements in radiant tubes and thyristor control, running at 920–980 °C.

    Rotary hearth furnace

Revamping a rotary hearth furnace that kept failing

A bearing manufacturer's rotary hearth furnace kept losing element connections and hood insulation. We redesigned the elements and their cold zone, and relined the hood with high-temperature ceramic board.

    Aluminium holding furnace

    Revamping of Aluminium holding furnace

An aluminium holding furnace where every crucible failure took the SS310 heating elements down with it, for 15 days at a time. We rebuilt it with a Fibrothal heating system and Kanthal AF elements at line voltage, and a crucible problem now costs about 2 days.
